I’ve entered the Wellington Round the Bays Fun Run so I’ve begun stepping up my milage and reducing my ‘walking breaks’.
Yesterday I made 8 km with a one minute walking break every 6 minutes. My aim is that by race day I’ll have reduce my walking breaks so much I may be able to get through the whole race without one. The helpful folks on Running Fools, a TMF message board have suggested a few things for my first race. But their number one tip was “Don’t take it too seriously, have fun!”. So I intend to.
