The backup problem

The server here upgraded safely, now I’m in the process of setting up rsync for regular backups to DVD.

If anyone has some programs or scripts for this I’d like to hear. What I’m looking to do is pull all the /etc, /var & /home directories off each of my servers, and stick them into a directory on my primary desktop(/backup). Then this will get burned to CD (or DVD) once a week or so.

Any hints?
