Vignette. Nice idea, bad practice.

So far this is the most intrusive web framework I’ve ever worked with, It may well be that the implementation at work is at fault. But given vignette’s stock performance , I wouldn’t assume too much.

Vignette’s cash accounts don’t look any better. At current burn rate they have around 2 years cash. At the rate customers (not us yet) are abandoning them, their burn is only likely to increase.

Unfortunatly, if we were to port away from StoryServer we’d end up on Websphere (rather than JBoss or something equally cool). Still, roll on websphere!!!
