Wtf

Well wtf. After 2 full days on the internet my cable PC has had all sorts of junk come down the line.

217.21.115.2 – - [05/Apr/2003:21:05:19 +1200] “CONNECT 207.46.181.13:25 HTTP/1.1 ” 405 376 “” “

I gather that’s someone trying to use my apache setup as a proxy server for whatever reason.

I get a bunch of stupid IIS exploit attempts to

202.0.52.41 – - [05/Apr/2003:19:07:08 +1200] “GET /default.ida?[Heaps of Xs followed by shell code] HTTP/1.0” 404 347 “” “

Maybe I’m going to have to firewall off basically everything. Or maybe only run an SSL server? Would less crap come down the line then?
