Going to San Francisco

For the first time since I left university I’m finally taking a real holiday, I’m going to the San Francisco and Las Vegas for two weeks in November 2004. I’ve been to Vegas before, so I’m already well equipped with ideas. However, San Francisco is another matter altogether, as I’ve never been there and have no idea what to do.

I’m really looking forward to the trip, but frankly it’s a little daunting, so any suggestions from anyone will be much appreciated. I promise to return the favour if you ever decide to visit New Zealand.

For the first time since I left university I’m finally taking a real holiday, I’m going to the United State for two weeks in November 2004. Spending most of my time in San Francisco, finishing up with 3 days in Las Vegas.

I’ve been to Vegas before with a former employer, so I’m prepared for the trip. I know most of the interesting things too see, and I know a few people to ask when I’m in doubt. Plus, if I need some more ideas, I’ll always have Rand’s Vegas System to fall back on. However, San Francisco is another matter altogether, I’ve never been there and have no idea what to do beyond Alcatraz & the Golden Gate Bridge. So, I’m looking for suggestions, what are the must see things in San Francisco and the surrounding areas? Anything a must miss? I’m going to be in San Franciso from November 7th to the 15th, is there anything happening around then that I should try and get to? We’ll be staying at the Holiday Inn Civic Centre and we’ll probably not be able to rent a car. Young foreigners find this difficult I’m told…

I’m really looking forward to the trip, but frankly it’s a little daunting, so any suggestions from anyone will be much appreciated. I promise to return the favour if you ever decide to visit Wellington New Zealand
