Doom 3 was as near to perfect a game as I’ve ever played. 10/10.
It’s been a while since my last post, there is a very simple explanation for this. Doom 3. My PC was mostly up to the task, though I did decide to buy a new graphics card to really enjoy my trip through hell.
Doom was, quite simply, the best $99 I’ve spent in a long time. It was simultaneously terrifying and beautiful, and the graphics are just amazing. Running through the dimly lit hallways of the alpha labs, reliving doom 1 in the CPU units, and visiting hell itself. Each and every level was as near to perfect as I’ve played. I’ve been a long-time id fan and doom 3 has reinforced my position. I bought it the first day I saw it on the shelves, I’ll be doing the same with whatever they release next.
Well, I guess it’s off to finish it in nightmare mode.
