Jamis Buck and I have been writing similar articles lately. We’ve both been trying to help our readers improve the design of their applications. After talking it over we’ve decided to scale up our efforts and create a blog dedicated to this kind of article.
I’m pleased to announce: The Rails Way
If you have an application or a piece of code which isn’t quite as gorgeous as it could be, send it in. We’ll review all submissions, then publish an article or two showing the changes we’d make, and explain why we’d make them. Readers get the chance to learn tips and tricks for enhancing your design, submitters get their application refactored for free, and Jamis and I get some free-inspiration for our blog posts. It’s a win-win-win situation.
